Here's the deal.

Insanity works. And it travels much faster than rational arguments or facts. We all respond to it, either favorably ("God help you," we say, but he won't.) or unfavorably ("Are they that crazy?" we say, but it matters not.). But we respond, and give the craziness attention.

So the best course of action is to ignore it as much as possible, lest one be sucked into long harangues with irrelevant counterpoints and personal attacks.

But that is quite difficult. I must admit, I chuckled at the thought of the Gazpacho Police. And forwarded the clip!
