- Reduction in spending on social programs like Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid

- Deregulation of businesses and commerce.

- Unbridled military spending

- Nationalism, particularly Christian Nationalism

- Anti-globalization, protectionism

- Narcissism

- Detachment from any inconvenient reality
